Chinese Race Car

We live in a world of initiators, because we ourselves aren’t good enough to think beyond the rudimentary, it’s therefore wise to appreciate others effort. In such a thought of emotions, it’s fitting to give up to the students of LS Racing team who’ve taken the pain and labor and with all the effort have built a formula race car of their own. The students of the LS Racing team from Guangxi University have been testing their race car, which is scheduled to hit the race track at the Formula SAE of China (FSAE) Shanghai in October.

Is it DTV?

Created by Benjamin Gulak and Ryan Fairhead, DTV shredder is the “first response modular platform for soldiers”, as shown off at Military Vehicles conference in Detroit, last year. It equips the soldiers in a better way to deal with the crisis. Remotely operated, it can venture through any terrain at high speed of 30mph and owing to the low center of gravity, it can be used for number of purposes like reconnaissance, rescue or recovery, mobile surveillance/offensive platform, med-evac and rapid response.

May Windows beat Berry?

One thing the tech world is waiting for more desperately than anything is Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system. With October 11 pronounced as the release date, we may just have a more anticipatory grin on our faces. Scheduled to be introduced at a press event in New York, smartphones loaded with the OS could make debut beginning late next month. While phones from the likes of Asus, HTC, LG and Dell have made leaked appearances, our eyes and hands are longing for the real thing to know what the hardware requirements would be like.

Lego Camera?

Well, if you’re sick of those similar bodied point-and-shoots released day in and day out, then Pentax Optio NB1000 is where your find something different to appreciate. Besides being a 14.1MP camera with 4x optical zoom and an impressive 720p video recording capability, the camera is one of its kind with a Lego board on the front, that can be used to stick up anything you’d like to your camera. The blocks on the point-and-shoot’s face are nanoblocks by Diablock, Japan, which act similarly like the Lego’s, and this additions adds coolness to the $240 camera that’s available in monochromatic white and safari green colors to choose from.

I Love Vintage

We all love movies and those busses that have TVs in them to entertain commuters over long journeys; this takes a full swing with the whole home theater bus. Wouldn’t that journey just seem fun if you’re travelling in one of this home theater on wheels, well for me it definitely would? Seven such mobile cinemas were commissioned by the Ministry of Technology, UK way back in the sixties. While the others perished in the tide of time, this one, pictured above is the sole survivor that has been restored and upgraded with things like the new-age Blu-ray player and HD projector.
